Salim Ali National Park (Royal Springs Golf Course)

Salim Ali National Park, also known as the City Forest National Park was a national park in Srinagar, which had an area of 9 km square. The Park once consisted of certain wildlife like musk deer, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan serow and more than 70 bird species, which includes the paradise flycatcher, ring dove, Himalayan snowcock e.t.c.

Later on in the year 1998 it was decided to convert the national park into a golf course. And between the Years 1998 and 2001 the conversion had been complete. It was done by Farooq Abdullah, who was the Chief Minister.  Now the Golf Course is under the control and ownership of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation.

The golf course has a length of 6985 yards which was commissioned in the year 2001. It offers a magnificent view of the Dal lake and
