Hazaribagh is a district in Jharkhand located in ChhotaNagpur plateau region. The word ‘Hazar’ means a thousand and ‘Bagh’ means garden therefore the district name means “Land of thousand gardens”. As the name suggests, the place is surrounded all over by dense forests, hills and rivers. The best to enjoy the beauty of nature is in winters; December to February, when the temperature remains around 15 degree Celsius.

How to Visit?
Road-
Hazaribagh is situated on National Highway 33; the highway is connected to major parts of country like Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokarao, Gaya, Patna and Kolkata.
Railway –
The Hazaribagh Railway Station is only at a distance of 5kms from the main city land. One can board on auto or taxi for the same. The trains do to and fro from all the major metropolitan cities. The average charge for per person is around Rs.220 to Rs.900
Airways –
The nearest airport is Birsa Munda International Airport in Ranchi which is 90kms away from Hazaribagh. There are the flights from Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Patna to Ranchi. The average fair per person is Rs.1200 to Rs.3500. The tourists are entertained by local transport like auto, cycle rickshaws etc.
