By flight : Mayapur does not have its own airport. The Netaji Subhash chandra bose airport is the nearest international Airport in Kolkata. From the airport, cabs and taxis are readily available and can be used to reach Mayapur through a 117 km drive.
By rail : Trains from Howrah station pass through the Nabadwip dham, from there taxi can be used to travel 30 km to reach Mayapur. Mayapur does not have its own rail station.
By road : The good connection of roads make it easier for the tourists to reach Mayapur. The nearest bus stand to Mayapur is Krishnanagar which is just 20 km away and can be reached through taxi and cab.

Mayapur is best to visit during winters with pleasant weather. Many devotees come during the early monsoon, when early showers clean the surroundings.
Summer : Mayapur suffers from a temperature of nearly 30°C during summers. The weather is very hot and humid. If you try to visit during summers, make sure to keep yourself hydrated and stay cool.
Monsoon : Many visitors visit Mayapur during monsoon because of early showers cleaning the surroundings and also because of Jagannath Snana Yatra. Janmashtami is also celebrated during September, and brings a layer of joy and peace for the devotees visiting during that time. One should not visit during monsoon months, if you are not happy with crowds or can’t bear humid weather.
Winter : Winter is the best time for tourists to visit Mayapur. During this season, the temperature is below 29° and gives off cool weather. Janmashtami and Gaura purnima add up to the festivals and atmosphere of enjoyment. The nice weather and festivals add up to make it the best time to visit, so booking tickets in advance is advisable.
