How To Reach

This amazing place is just 82km from Agartala, the capital of Tripura. A road trip will be the best way to reach there. The nearest airport is Bir Bikram Manikya terminal located at a distance of 12km from the main city. The nearest railway station is at the Amarpur area of Tripura which is just 7 km away from the destination.

Best Season

The months from October to April is the ideal time to visit this place. The rainy season that is from July to September should be avoided as it causes the water level to rise which may cause inconvenience in traveling.

About The Place

This place is mainly composed of jungles, water bodies, and small caves. There are panels of rock carving all over the place of Lord Shiva, Ganesha, karthika, and Maa Durga. The idol of Maa Durga is about 20 feet high. Historians say that these carvings are from the 16th century. The hill ranges are the perfect place for trekking and someone who loves adventure will love to explore the place. There are also boat ride facilities in local boats at the minimum fare.

Apart from this, there are few cottages and places to stay in Amarpur for accommodation and food. There is a little bit of network issue in this place as it’s inside a forest but local guides are always ready for assistance.The total fare to visit this place would be around 1000-1500INR per person including all transports and accommodations.
