Gorumara national park – The beautiful scenery of this national park is best enjoyed if you hire a tour guide with a jeep.
Chapramari wildlife sanctuary – Located at a distance of about 20 km from Gorumara National Park, with Kanchanjungha painted in the background, tourists can see a wide range of animals like elephants, gaur, leopards.
Murti River – It is located in between Gorumara and Chapramari. It is best known for its tranquil atmosphere for the flowing river and quiet woods. But during sunset, the beauty of the place gets enhanced.
Jayanti Mahakal caves – It is placed along the banks of the Jayanti River which forms a natural border with beautiful Sinchula hills coloring the backdrop. It is a picturesque location at the Buxa Tiger Reserve .
Jaldhaka, Jalbong and Bindu – They transports you to stunning hills, valleys and sceneries.
Buxa Tiger reserve – It shelters animals like tigers, elephants, bison, sambar, barking hog, cheetal deer, wild boars, wild buffaloes and leopards.
Buxa Fort – It is located inside the tiger reserve. This fort was initially used by a Bhutanese King to protect the exclusive silk route that connected India and Tibet.
Rovers point – It is located merely 3 km away from the nearby Buxa Fort. It is the most splendid hilltop view in all of Lataguri and this hill top peaks into the densely forested valley.

The best time to go to Lataguri is around November to March. Lataguri experiences a tropical climate. So one would conclude that the best time to visit Lataguri is when the rains do not ruin one’s outdoor plans.
The region receives heavy rainfall every year. The summer temperature can soar as high as 38°C making it an inappropriate time to venture out. Winters remain moderately cool, the skies are clear and perfect for exploring attractions in and around the quaint little town.
How to reach:
The nearest airport present in Lataguri is at Bagdogra. You have to catch a flight from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose airport (CCU) from kolkata to reach the Bagdogra airport. From the airport, you have to hire a car which will take you to Lataguri.
