Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world is a matchless creation and magnificent monument of the greatest architectural attainment in the whole range of Indo Islamic architecture from the great Mughal period. Fees and Tickets to visit the Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is open to the public every day from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM except on Fridays. It is important to note that visitors are not allowed on Fridays. The ticket rate for visiting are as follows:
Indian Citizens: 50 INR
SAARC/BIMSTEC Citizens: 540 INR
Other Foreign Nationals: 1100 INR
Visitors should also note that an additional ticket for INR 200 is required to enter the main mausoleum. Likewise, children belonging to any nations who are below 15 years of age does not require any pass.
How to reach the Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is well connected to the rest of India. You can fly to Delhi or Agra from anywhere in India or around the world. Delhi is just 240 kilometers from the monument. Agra has a railway station which is well connected to the other parts of India. Similarly, you can take the Taj Express highway from Delhi to reach here.
Best Time to the Visit Taj Mahal
The best time to visit the Taj Mahal is the winter months or from early November to early March as the climate is not too hot and the summer months will be too hot and uncomfortable for travellers. Similarly, try to visit the monument in the mornings as the atmosphere will be calm and the temperatures will be low.
