About the place
Malinithan is a significant place in the land of Arunachal Pradesh as it has the only Hindu temple that is the Malinithan temple from the early medieval period on the bank of the Brahmaputra river. The whole temple was built with granite stones by Chutia kings in the 13th century. This is a magnificent archaeological site consisting of the sculpture of Durga, Lord Shiva, shiva linga, and a bull. There are some unique sculptures in the temple revealing many secrets from the medieval period.
An inner line permit is necessary to enter the state of the northeast which is easily available online at around INR 100-400.
This temple should be visited by all history enthusiasts. This place holds a special position in the tourist spots of Arunachal Pradesh.
