How to reach Sikar
By Rail: Sikar is situated below the Northwest Railway Territory. The Sikar-Loharu section has just been converted into a large size section of the North Western Railway from the beginning of September 2012. The city of Sikar has been linked to Delhi, Jaipur, Loharu, Rewari, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Churu, and Jhunjhunu via rail-lines. However, the 2012 rail service in the Sikar-Loharu section was shut down by Gauge in early September because it is expected that the transformation activity will commence.
By Air: The nearest airport in town is Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Indore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Udaipur, Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, and Jaipur International Airport which runs daily flights to Delhi. Shahpura (a town in Jaipur) close to Sikar offers a new airport.
By Road: Sikar is well linked to all of Rajasthan’s major cities through the roads to Delhi, Chandigarh, Surat, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bikaner. The city center passes by one National Highway NH-11. NH-11 links along with Sikar, Bikaner, and Jaipur. Also in Sikar, the main project of the central government would cross the western freight corridor.
Best time to visit Sikar
The best months to visit Sikar are from October to March. Sikar falls in Rajasthan and is subjected to hot and semi-arid summers with a temperature of 45-50. Starting in October, the weather is nice to help tourist trips as the temperature starts to drop. A pair of light woolen woolens may be appropriate to bring from October to March.
Famous places to visit in Sikar
1. Devgarh
Devgarh is located on Harshnath Road which is about ten kilometers from Sikar. The best time to visit Devgarh is between October and March because the weather is not too warm. The site can be reached by rail and road. The network of buses and trains links major cities. Udaipur Airport, 135 km away, is the closest airport to Devgarh. The trains continue up to the junction of Sikar, after which a bus or taxi is required.
2. Harsh Nath Temple
This is a very old Lord Shiva temple built on a hill. Although the drive to the place can be a bit challenging after you have reached the place your efforts will be rewarded. The scenery is beautiful so that the tourists are delighted. The place is 14 km from town with panoramic views of every tourist. It is one of the best places to visit near Sikar due to its rich grandeur. Some of the temples’ main attractions are Khatu Shyamji Temple, Shikargarh, and Madho Niwas Kothi. The best time to visit is between October and March since the weather is not too hot for a visit. Another perfect time to schedule a trip to the Temple is Monsoon.
3. Khatu Shyamji Temple
The temple of Khatu Shyamji is the best choice if you are looking for a religious place with a serene atmosphere. The floral decoration of the idol is one of the most prestigious shrines in the region. It is easily accessible from the temple through the Rings crossing or by road. It takes four hours to drive by car, but the temple offers you an unusual experience. There is also a pond, which is also visible to tourists, 100 meters away from the temple.
Best time to visit: during the year, but ideally from October to March.
How to reach: A private taxi is the fastest way to get to the temple. The closest train station to temple village is Ringas Junction.
4. Seth Ramgopal Poddar Chhatri
This place has a lovely structure that has exquisite wall frescoes over 100 years old. The exquisite architecture of the site offers the eyes and soul a wonderful treat. The cenotaph is packed with so many wall paintings that make photography an amazing location. This is one of Sikar’s favorite places to visit, so be sure to put it in the travel package.

How to get there: the place can be reached by road. However, there is no direct air link; you can take a taxi to the site from the airport of Udaipur.
5. Laxmangarh Fort
It is located in the Shekhawati district of Sikar which is one of the kinds of fortresses. The fort is rich in architecture and built on a rocky mountain. Although the fort is now private property, Lord Hanuman’s temple is open to the public. The fort offers a lovely panorama of the town at its feet and is a top destination for visitors.

The place can be reached by road. However, there is no direct link; a taxi can be taken from the airport to the site.
