How to reach:

Sepahijala, located in Bishalgarh is just 25kms from the city of Agartala. One can take public transport or reserve a private car according to their conveniences through the national highway 44. 

Best season to visit:

Winter season and spring season that is from November to March is the best time to visit this place. There are several picnic spots and a wide range of  flora and fauna blooming throughout the area. The fare for entering the place is INR 10 per person, INR 40 for car and additional expenses for camera and other things

About the place:

Sepahijala wildlife sanctuary is a total package of lakes, botanical gardens, and varieties of animals especially monkeys. As mentioned earlier this place is famous for spectacle monkeys, an endangered variety of monkey in the world. There are also varieties of birds, reptiles and other animals. Clouded leopards, another vulnerable species are seen in Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary that adds grace to the status of tourism in Tripura.

There are 150 species of birds along with migratory birds in the winter season that adds more elegance to the beauty of the place. Besides this, this place has few artificial lakes and boating facilities that create a perfect picnic spot for people.
