Bharatpur National Park

The Bharatpur National Park is now known as the Keoladeo national park and is a renowned Aviation Faunas sanctuary and is a UNESCO World Heritage Bird Watching Paradise. The 29 km long Ghana reserve is a mosaic of drought, forests, swamps, and wetlands. The reserve is locally known as Ghana. There are 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 fish species, 13 snake species, 5 lizard species, 7 amphibian species, 7 turtle species, and a host of other invertebrates present in these various ecosystems. By Rail: Bharatpur Junction is the nearest train station to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Many trains run to Bharatpur from all of India’s major cities.

 By Road: A large number of private bus stops operate frequently from Udaipur, Agra, Ajmer, and Jodhpur. NH-11 links Bharatpur with Agra (5 hours, 56 km) and Delhi (5 hours, 176 km), and Jaipur (6 hours, 176 km). Best time to visit Bharatpur National Park

Even if it is open all year round, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is the best time to visit is from August to November, while from October to February you can see migratory birds.
