By flight: Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport in Siliguri. This is a domestic Airport which has regular flights from all over India.
By train: New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station at nearly 56 km away from Mirik. It is easily accessible via roads and is well connected with major cities in India.

Best time to visit Mirik
People have different taste in season and time to visit places, but certain places like Mirik is advisable to visit not anytime.
During the winter months of November to February, the weather is very chilled and there is biting cold outdoors with a temperature of nearly 1°C to 15°C. The weather seems clear and dry and the bare pines add to the scenery and make it more beautiful. The cold snowy weather with temples soothe your heart and make you feel relaxed and content.
During the Monsoon months of July to October, Mirik receives heavy rainfall. August is the wettest month for Mirik and increases the chance of landslides and cave-ins. So visiting during this month is not advisable.
During the Summertime of March to June, the weather seems very pleasant and not very stuffy despite having a temperature of 30°C. With a clear sky and excellent visibility, a Himalayan mountain range can be easily seen.
