Jampui Hills

An extending part of Mizo hills located in North Tripura is the cleanest, pollution-free, and peaceful area that one can visit. This place is the most elegant place among all the tourist places in Tripura. The hills are under a blanket of lustrous green vegetation and a different variety of orchids. Oranges in Jampui are very famous in the entire state of Tripura.


How to reach:

Jampui hills are located at a distance of 260 kilometers from Agartala, the capital of Tripura. It’s better to take a road trip from Agartala and enjoy the alluring views on the way. The nearest airport is Maharaja Bir Bikram airport which is only 12km from the main city. Another way is to take a train journey up to Dharmanagar station and then hiring a vehicle from Dharmanagar to Kailashahar via Kanchanpur to cover the further distance. The Agartala railway station is in the Badharghat area of the city and is like 7kms from the main town. Besides that, you can always take a road trip to explore more and more.

Best season to visit:

The best time to visit the Jampui hills is between October to February. The weather is pleasant and the area is confined. There are government tourist lodges for staying with great ambiance and facilities.

If you are in Jampui, you have to watch the sunset of the area. Various viewpoints in the hill range provide mesmerizing impressions all over the area and have added a lot of charm to tourism in Tripura. There is a tower which is the highest peak of Tripura that is the Betlingcchip that is 3280feet in length from which the Chittagong hill tracts can be seen along with other hill tracts. The clouds float in the body of the hills and give an enchanting vibe in the surroundings. Besides that, there are various types of orchids in the valleys and never forget to taste the oranges of the Jampui hills. The expenses are not that high. The place is very budget-friendly and worth exploring.
