Netarhat is a hill station in the Chota Nagpur Plateau region. Netarhat is covered with thick forests all around and generally have Pine, Sal, Pear, Diospyros Melanoxylon, Honey tree, Eucalypts etc. The forest is made up of laterite soil and crystalline rocks. The place is best known for sunrise and sunset during summer time and is called as ‘Queen of Chotanagpur’. As any other hill station, this place is also all year trip but tourists primarily prefers to go in spring and early summers.

How to go?
Road –
The only way to take a road trip to Netrahat is by Ranchi. Distance between the 2 places is 144kms. From Ranchi there is availability of regular buses, pre-booked cabs and sharing taxis at state prvided fairs.
Railways –
The nearest railway station is Ranchi Railway Station at a distance of 155kms away. There are adequate transport availabe from airport to Netarhat hill. The to and fro train includes passenger and mail rails from Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Jamshedpur etc. The average price per person is Rs. 250 to Rs. 1500.
Airways –
The closest airport is Birsa Munda International Airport in Ranchi at a distance of 106kms. There is availability of regular flights from major cities like Patna, Bangalore, Bombay and some few. The mean price per person is Rs. 1500 to Rs. 3500.
